First I wanna say Happy Mothers Day to all the Rockstar moms out there from me to you! I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing day with well-behaved kids. And someone to dote on you and rub your feet. Or at least make you breakfast in bed.
I wanna take this opportunity to talk a little about my motherhood journey. Back in high school I never thought I would have kids. And if I did, it would be much later in life. I really sorta didn’t want them. But then I got pregnant at 19 and all that changed. At 20, I became a mother. I had no idea what I was doing or if I was any good at the whole mothering thing.
Now, almost 9 years later, I can honestly say its been the best thing to ever happen to me. It gave me direction and purpose. I absolutely love being a mom. Who knew I could be so nurturing? It is the biggest job and responsibility ever but definitely the most rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We as moms are responsible for shaping a human into the person they will become. I am by far not a perfect mother and I have made a shit load of mistakes and continue to do so. But, I’ve done something right because I couldn’t ask for a better kid. I never get tired of being called “Momma” or the hugs and snuggles or the messy room or the legos all over the floor or half empty juice boxes on the counter….. ok so maybe not the last three but its all part of the deal. Being a mom is the best part of my life.
Oh yeah, and this Family Guy clip…never gets old!!

There are no perfect mothers and the ones who seem so are hiding some deep dark secrets. Donna Reed only lived on television.
Happy Mother’s Day, Blondie! I hope it was a good one.
