Bloggers On Bourbon

Yes you read that right.  Bourbon.  As in Bourbon street New Orleans.  And no I am not referring to my recent adventure back on New Years.  Oh no.  This is a whole new ball of wax.  Or beads.

New Orleans happens to be one of my favorite cities. It was the best once in a lifetime experience I had the last time I went.  It was awesome to go with such great friends who I met through blogging and will be life long friendships.  Oh and you can’t beat the food.  So I’m very excited to tell you that I am going back.  Soon than I had ever expected and you can come too!

Leah from Bookie Boo and Trisha from Momdot have teamed up to host the first ever Bloggers On Bourbon, social media meet-up.  Only 30 bloggers can attend and it is not a conference.  It’s a meet-up.  They want to bring the “social” back into social media.  And I think its a fantastic idea.

I attended BlogHer last year and was less than thrilled.  I payed an uber amount of money on a conference pass and didn’t attend a single class.  Not that I’m complaining about that…I didn’t go for the classes, I went for the people.  Big conferences are just not my thing.

I want to go to meet the women and men that I talk to on a daily basis.  Thats why this meet-up is so different and important to me to attend.  I want to meet the people whose blogs I love and who in turn like mine.  And with a small intimate group of bloggers, you get that close interaction (without all the swag and drama) to just get to hang out with people you consider friends.

And besides…I miss my girls from last time.  And the beignets.

Look out New Orleans…the mom bloggers are coming back bigger than before!

So I’m going…even if I have to flash my boobies to get there, I will.
