I personally think Valentines Day is such a farce. And I’m not just saying this because I’m single and bitter or anything like that. Okay, so maybe a little. But still, I don’t see the need to have to blow it up into this big deal. Obviously, i wasn’t spending the day with any special man (except for the 8 year old that lives with me who thinks he is a man, but that’s a whole other issue) and even though I could have with Match 1, I didn’t. I spent it entirely different. So what did I do? We went to Disney On Ice.
The new Disney On Ice show is Let’s Celebrate and its playing here in Boston for the entire week, which also happens to be school vacation week. The premise of this show is celebrations. They went through birthdays, Christmas, Mardi Gras, Halloween (which had all the villains), and even Valentines day. So Hunter and I went and we invited his godmother Sarah to come along as well. All three of us really enjoyed the show and our seats were fabulous. Sarah and I both agreed that the best part of the show was when the brooms from Fantasia came out. There were about two dozen of them in glow-in-the-dark costumes and it was fantastic. I also loved the luau with Lilo and Stitch….they even lit the ice on fire! How cool is that?! And for the little girls they had all the princesses including the newest one, Tiana.
After the show we were walking to the car and decided we would go to the Museum of Science in Boston. I love this museum. I took Hunter about 4 years ago and he even liked it then. It reminded me a lot of being in the Smithsonian’s in Washington, D.C (which is where i was, last Valentines day). There are so many neat and interesting things here, we spent two and a half hours inside. Hunter had picked out and bought a key chain with Sarah’s name on it for her for Valentines day, which was so sweet.
I had a great Valentines day and don’t think i could’ve spent it better. The day was also special because we had spent it with Sarah. You see, we reunited with Sarah just last week after not seeing her in years. So it was great to spend another full day with her and just get reacquainted with her. And its so funny because Hunter refers to her not by her name but as his Godmother.

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

Sounds like an amazing day and I totally think it was way better than spending it getting gross candy and flowers that will die in a few days!
Happy Valentines Day, luv!
Sounds like fun to me! My wife would have loved to see that!

What a perfect way to spend an over rated day! It looks like a lot of fun
I’m so bummed I missed it this year. I saw last years and it was a mix of characters I figured this years would be the same. Glad you had fun. I love being a Godmother by the way. I just wish I had more time to spend with my little chickie. Did you see the Harry Potter exhibit at the MOS? It was really cool. Hunter would look itty bitty sitting in Hagrids giant chair, it made me look tiny.
