Recently i was asked to do my very first review of a product. So not only was i super excited just to be asked to do a review but I got to Review Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion!! Who doesn’t love to try new lotions?! As a scrub in the O.R. i am constantly scrubbing and washing my hands numerous times a day. Combine that with the dry air in the winter and it equals disaster. My poor hands are a complete mess.
When i found out that it was a shielding lotion, i had no idea really what that meant so i did a little research. What i found surprised me in a good way. Shielding lotion protects your skin from irritants such as soap and cosmetics while allowing the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin. Yes! A lotion that protects my skin while moisturizing it is perfect for me… especially considering how many times a day i scrub my hands with very harsh surgical soaps!! And just think of how messed up your hands get after cleaning with harsh household products. Plus, the one i tried has a sunscreen SPF 15 added to it as well…Bonus! Oh and the best part is, it is a natural skin care product!!
Once i received this lotion i was quick to try it out. And honestly, i was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t greasy at all or watery. Those happen to be my two biggest complaints about most lotions. And the scent wasn’t overpowering either but rather extremely light. My skin felt so silky and smooth after just one use…definitely not sticky. A little goes a long way with this lotion and I noticed that it was absorbed in my skin fast. My best friend was over my house a few days ago and saw the lotion on the table and tried it. She is a Physician Assistant in the O.R. as well, so she is always scrubbing her hands and washing them in between patients in her office. She too absolutely LOVED the lotion.
Now for the best part of my review. This convinced me that this is probably seriously the best lotion i have ever tried. Just the other day, Hunter had all these little red bumps all over his face. Almost as if his skin was chapped. Nothing i’ve ever done had helped before…so i decided that since this lotion is also for the face, it wouldn’t hurt to try it. No lie…his face was back to normal the next day!! The next day!! I couldn’t believe it. Actually, had i not seen it with my own eyes i probably wouldn’t have believed it. It was truly amazing.
Overall, I would have to say that this is probably the best lotion out there for any skin type. I would highly recommend this to anyone!!

Love your review! I’m convinced! My son was born premature so we had to obsessively wash our hands in the NICU and we have continued that habit at home. I’ve been looking for a product to help combat the dryness!
I have very dry, sensitive skin (especially around my joints). This sounds like a product I may need to try, especially since it is natural.
